Westcare Clinics urgent care treats the following conditions:
An urgent care facility offers many of the same services that are offered in an emergency room or through a primary care physician. The lab services may include:
X-rays. Urgent care clinics can perform an x-ray without a referral from a primary care physician. They offer patients the opportunity to see a doctor and obtain an x-ray in one visit. This helps to save the patient time, pain, and anxiety.
EKG. Patients may need an EKG if they are experiencing heart arrhythmias, or any other uneasy heart related issues. Urgent care gives patients access to an EKG without needing to obtain a doctor’s referral. Most providers don’t have EKG technicians or even EKG machines, so urgent care is a great option.
Strep Testing. A sore throat may be a sign of a bacteria infection that requires a rapid strep test for diagnosis. An urgent care center can administer the test within a few minutes, giving patients the information they need to obtain treatment and regain their health.
Mono: Patients experiencing symptoms of mono will need to undergo a test to diagnose their condition and obtain treatment. Waiting for a doctor’s appointment can be difficult for patients struggling with symptoms. Urgent care makes healthcare convenient and affordable.
STD Testing. Westcare Clinics offers STD testing that can provide results within a few minutes. Armed with these results, patients will be empowered to pursue treatment.
Joint and soft tissue injections, such as epidural injections (interlaminar and transforaminal), piriformis injection, sacroiliac joint injections, and trigger point injections, may be done to address tissue damage, ease pain, and support overall recovery. The type of injection that is done will depend on the location and severity of the patient’s condition.
Patients experiencing pain may be advised to take advantage of one or more of the following pain management techniques: cold and heat therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, mind-body techniques, gentle exercise, biofeedback, and therapeutic massage. The pain management techniques will be customized according to the patient’s injury.
